Spring (Volume 20 - Issue 2)

Editorial...

CTA-Vol20Issue-2.jpgWinter is now well upon us so it’s time to take stock of your immune health and make sure the cupboards are well supplied with the essentials for quick immune support action. It’s also good practice to take advantage of sunny days to get out and about, air out the house and let the sunshine into your life.

Whilst looking at all the wonderful dietary supplements that you currently have at your disposal to help you and your family maintain wellness, take a moment to consider what it would mean if some of these herbal and nutritional supplements were no longer available to you, at least not without a prescription from your doctor or naturopath. What if they all cost $10 more per bottle?

Regulation of “Natural Health Products” is once again on the Government’s formal agenda this year. If the availability and cost of natural health products is of concern to you then I hope you sent in a submission on the Government’s “Development of a Natural Health Products Bill” discussion document. Whilst the proposal is NZ regulations for NZ – for now, and politicians are currently openly talking and listening to industry about the creation of really good quality and safety focused regulations, the devil is in the detail and the detail in the discussion document has ANZTPA written all over it! Let your local MP know this is a subject close to your heart and stay tuned for more on the subject over the next few months. You can also visit www.healthandherbs.co.nz for further information.

This, our second issue of our 20th Anniversary Year, has a focus on winter wellness so you can brush up on some tried and true winter essentials. Cosy up with a cuppa and your H&H mag to read about some fabulous new products and why it pays to keep your bowel healthy and your vitamin D levels up.

My favourite product for the year is the new Radiance® Ageless Beauty, a New Zealand formulation utilising two of the finest, internationally recognised, New Zealand grown super antioxidants available today. Try it, you’ll love it I’m sure. Those of you that suffer from stomach discomfort will love the great taste of Nutralize® – the other Kiwi ingenuity formula based on 100% natural apple cider vinegar and medical grade manuka honey. Enjoy…

Stomach Discomfort Gone! Real Life Story By Gavin Gear

I have suffered from stomach issues and acid burning my oesophagus for years, since my early twenties. I have been prescribed various treatments over the years, I could probably write a book about it. At age 56 my doctor advised me “get this handled or you are heading for a bout of oesophageal cancer”. My doctors’ only advice at that point was to loose 15 pounds and go ride a bike. I was mortified. Read »
