- Dim the lights and turn off the television and computer an hour before bed as darkness promotes the production of melatonin, the ‘sleep hormone’
- Be regular about bed time, habits tend to stick
- Before bedtime write down all the things on your mind and pledge to address them tomorrow
- Reduce your intake of caffeine, sugar and spicy foods and reduce your meal size at night
- Hydrate during the day and stop your fluid intake one hour before bed time
