Billie Goat Soap - How it all began.

Leanne Faulkner has a background of being a city corporate. Most of Leanne’s working life was spent in senior positions with large multi- national companies. After meeting her partner John she moved to a lifestyle property on the Central Coast of NSW, Australia for a change. Leanne went to the local RSPCA to rescue a horse but came home with a goat!’ This precious goat, Jenny, was the first in Leanne’s herd which she began to show and milk.

When their youngest child Liam was born with eczema, they tried conventional treatments to soothe his condition but nothing worked. Leanne began to research her own solution to the problem and decided to use milk from her own small dairy goat herd to make an all natural soap to treat Liam. This was the birth of Billie Goat Soap.

Leanne experimented with soap making. Her family remembers the many trials and errors she went through to perfect her now amazingly successful recipe. The amount of hours learning about oils and the properties they held has been an amazing journey for Leanne. She managed to make a fantastic product while using an old fashioned soap making process that allows the high quality of the oils to remain in the soap, making them nourishing and moisturising.

Leanne first started selling her soap at a small market near her home as well as at local shows. She was approached by local village health store owner who wanted to stock the product. Word soon got out that this fantastic soap that was not only all natural but brought relief to many people suffering from varying skin conditions.

Today Billie Goat Soap is in over 2000 stores in both Australia and abroad and is now available in New Zealand!
