It’s a small world after all
Whilst Kiwi made is a great adage, New Zealand is not equipped to grow, produce or manufacture everything consumers want or expect these days, so the importation of raw materials, finished products and foods fill many gaps and add amazing variety and spice to life.
Health & Herbs International Ltd is a proudly New Zealand owned dietary supplement and distribution company marketing our own Radiance® and Pharmasports brands and several international brands such as Nature’s Way® from the U.S.A. Many of the products within the Radiance® range are finished product imports and several are New Zealand made. However, as with most New Zealand made supplements many of the raw materials are still sourced internationally.
Claiming it’s NZ (or Australian) made doesn’t make it good. Quality ingredients and appropriate processing techniques are more important. This is where brand trust comes to the fore. A good supplement company will use only manufacturers or suppliers that they trust to use the finest ingredients, Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP), and batch testing to ensure that what is claimed on the label is delivered to the end user. Whilst I am aware of some NZ made brands of dietary supplements that are superb, I am also aware of others offering products that I would not recommend or use myself because I know them to be of inferior quality.
